Better with Age, Part Deux

My company is doing this Wellness Challenge where participants have to log points for exercise and lifestyle activities. My boss, Steve, suggested that the Sales Department add another part of the challenge. He came up with a running challenge. Three member teams had to predict their total time that each member of the team would run two minute miles in. For example, my team said that our total time would be 64 minutes. My teammate, Linda, said she would run it in 28 minutes. My teammate, Jay, said he would run it in 18 minutes. I also predicted 18 minutes. Linda is in her mid 50's and moderately exercises. Jay was originally not someone who worked out, but was on a mission to lose weight and run a good time.

Steve also suggested that the teams bet against one another. My team, "The Out of Towners" had the most bets against them. No one thought Jay could run two miles in 18 minutes.

Yesterday, Linda ran her time in 24:15. This afternoon, Jay ran his time in 16:50. This evening, I ran my two miles in 14:47.
